Everyone is connected

I just watched this anime called Serial Experiment Lain...
it's a cool anime...a bit hard to understand but very interesting...
it's mainly about the internet (or the wired in that anime)...the stuff I was talking about in the last post...
in the anime...the character said..."everyone is connected"...
t's very creepy for me...imagine a world where everyone is connected...
everyone will know where you are...what are you doing...heck, they'll know who you are with...
that will be the collapse of privacy...no more private life since everyone is connected to each other...
but isn't today's world becoming more and more like in that anime ?
almost everyone has a handphone or pager or computer with internet connection or telephone..etc
they are the the link that connect each and everyone of us...
moreover, we seem to embrace them open heartedly...
we are becoming more and more connected electronically...
like a machine talking to one another...
or even worse...a single machine with us, human, as its parts...
if that is the situation...there is no more for privacy...
of course it is not all bleak and gloomy...with everyone being connected to each other...information exchange will low at a speed of light...
but that is not the point here...
the point is...how much information can other people get from you and how can you protect your private information...
sigh...
I just don't want people to be able to intrude to my private life...
