Review: Dark material...

another review coming...

it's the Dark Material saga...
The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and the Amber Spyglass...
well...it's a satisfaction for me to finally be able to finish the saga...
I think the whole saga is actually one book chopped off into three...because there's no real ending in each book...
you need to read the whole series to get the real ending...
but it's nice...
the whole thing started from an investigation about 'Dust'...yes dust with a big D...
it's no ordinary dust because it cannot be seen with naked eyes and it is mostly found around adults...not kids...
the investigation leads to the discovery of other universe and in the end the battle between man and the Authority (aka God)...well actually not God himself but the angels with power...
our heroine and hero...Lyra and Will got stuck in the middle of all this and they play an important part in it...
the bad guys here are the Church and angels...
the Church is filled with power hungry people and they condone everything to obtain their goal...
God wasn't there...in the story, there was a Creator but He was not there anymore...instead there is an angel in His position and claim that He is the Authority...
and they rule with iron-fist...
the funny thing there is there is such a thing as preemptive absollution...that means you punish yourself for a sin that you have not done...so you are allowed to commit sin...
it's very hard to summarize everything since there are three books...so go and read it...its very nice...and not boring at all...
although the ending...sigh...shall not say about it...
