The Chrismas Spirit of the present...

as reading has always been one of my favorite activities, reading newspaper is no different...
so I chanced upon a couple of articles...opinions from some supposedly smart people that talks about christmas and other things attached to it...
and I read something that is really really nice...
here it goes...

"Jika Kristus dilahirkan beribu-ribu kali di Betlehem, tetapi jika Dia tak pernah lahir dalam dirimu, selamanya kau takkan menemukan keselamatan"

which translates to more or less this...

"Even if Christ is born thousand times in betlehem, but if He is never born in you, you will never find salvation forever"

well, that's supposed to be the christmas spirit...to let Christ born in you...of course, many people have forgotten this meaning...
instead christmas is then related to whole other symbols and things that are totally different from the first spirit...
what do I think of when I heard about christmas ? presents, christmas tree, celebrations, food, holiday, tv shows, new clothes, santa claus...all that...
it's true...christmas has been commercialised...degraded...degenerated...
for most people at least...
it's quite sad...very sad rather...to see people going of from mass and churches before it really ended because they want to avoid traffic jam or to eat or to go shopping...
christmas is dead...
