Everything is going so fast...

cars are going faster, internet connection is faster, communication is faster, even our food are faster...
this is a really hectic world isn't it...?
my life has been really fast since uni started...homework, project, assignment...verything coming so fast, I can't even finished one before another comes...
Through MSN, I can talk to my friends faster compared to the old, tried and tested method of sms...( yes, MSN vs sms...)
don't even think about phone calls...they're so passe...
All this speed are good and fine...but, something's missing...something of the old and slow world...
something that makes life really has that extra oomph...
ah, I remember...it's called anticipation...
don't you think so ?
the happiest moment, in my opinion, is not when you get what you want...but that split second before you get it and when you're, well, anticipating it...
that short moment is what we're lacking...
it's like...here it comes, the moment of anticipation then suddenly, whoosh...it's already past...
I dunno...I think I just miss those moment when you're expecting an email or a phone call from someone...or even waiting for your food to come...
with that extra moment of waiting, you appreciate more the things that are going to come your way...
you know that those extra time you spent waiting will be justly rewarded...(well, at least most of the times)
but if everything is so fast, we won't appreciate things as much as if it's just a routine thing...
think a french dinner andMcDonalds...fast food vs 'slow' food...or to scale it down...McDonalds vs hawker food...
maybe we're one generation that needs everything to be fast...we need that instant fulfillment...that instant gratification...
if only we can sit back and stop for awhile...stop and smell the roses...
not everything fast is good anyway...
