Fire on the Fox...

All this while, I've been resisting the temptation to change to Firefox. Everyone have said that it's far better than internet explorer. I don't know about that but I like the name and symbol is darn cute, so it does possess some attraction. But as always, I refused to submit to pressure and continue to use IE. After all, it has served me well all this while and I have no major complains. If it ain't broken, why fix ? has always been my motto. Furthermore, Erick said that he can't watch tv using firefox and that's a big deal for a tv junkie like me. The suggestion of using two web browsers, one for tv and the other for general browsing, sounds really ridiculous to me. If I can use one to do all my internet activities, why use two ?

So why now ? Why the sudden change ? Why did I abandon my trustworthy sidekick of IE in exchange of the cool and novel Firefox ? Why oh why did I deserted my allegiance to Microsoft's IE ?

The reason is quite simple actually, it's because the one site that I download my manga from is designed for Firefox user and I can't download them using IE. Now, I know you'll be like, "Huh ?", but I'm still true to my motto. IE was broken, it can't give me my manga. Firefox can. So the logical and common sense approach to solve the problem is just to switch to Firefox. And how about the tv problem, you ask ? It's true that tv is more important to me than manga and it's still true. The funny thing is the tv works just fine for me using the Firefox, so no problem there.

Of course, I'm still getting use to Firefox. There are some kinks that I still need to figure out and adjust myself. Telling myself to press Ctrl+L instead of Ctrl+O after using it for quite a few years is no easy feat, I tell you. The password manager and bookmark also need some figuring out. And the fact that Firefox is a tad slower than IE in loading pages is quite bugging me.

But with all those weaknesses and strong points, I'm a Firefox convert now. I'm sorry IE, you've been a great partner for many years and I will remember you fondly. Too bad you can't give me my manga. I'm with someone new now. Goodbye.

The quick firefox jumps over the lazy dog.

woohoo, welcome to the firefox-users family! :D

yeah, i agree that firefox is a tad slower than IE, but i reckon it's because IE is integrated to windows anyway.
