Breaking up is hard to do
I finally managed to watch the last season of "The West Wing" a few weeks back. It's quite a good season although not as funny as the first few seasons. The thing is when I finished watching the last episode, I felt sad. Really sad, actually. It's like the end of an era. It's the same feeling I felt when I watched the last of "Gilmore Girls". Being both long running shows, I've grown some sort of an attachment to them and to realise that there will never be anymore of them makes me kind of empty. And the worse part is that not all loose ends were tied up. Sure, Santos won the presidency but that's all expected. So does Donna ending up with Josh. But how about the rest, how about Kate and Will or Zoey and Charlie, or what's CJ doing with that ten billion dollars or did Toby really found a mistake in the constitution? So many things and yet none answered.
I managed to watch the final ten minutes of Ed as well. Finally after around six years since I started watching Ed, I managed to watch the ending. Breaking up is certainly hard to do.
But life goes on, I guess. You find new shows and sooner or later you forget about the old ones. Only when you reminisce about the good old days you would remember how tv series used to. So I'm watching "Pushing Daisies" now with its too ridiculous premises that are too ridiculous to miss. Besides, Anna Friel was awesomely gorgeous in there. I swear I thought she was Zoey Deschanel when I first saw her. I'm still watching the new season of "Bones" with the equally awesome Emily Deschanel. I'm also watching "Coupling". It's an English comedy show done by the BBC. It's basically a sexually explicit "Friends" and they are hilarious. Too bad there aren't many episodes available. If you have a chance to watch this, watch it. It's freaking funny. And Susan is hot (enough reason for me).
I'm still finding new shows to watch. I might want to watch "Boston Public" again or even try "Friday Night Lights". Like they say, there are plenty of fish in the sea.
