I want to see the world.

Looking out from this tiny world of mine, I would love to spend a year or two just traveling the world (then again, who wouldn't ?). My top three destinations at the time would be England, Japan, and Italy in no particular order.

You must be asking why England, with all the bad weather and greasy food. But it's always been a dream of mine (I'm way exaggerating here) to go to London, take the tube, eat the not-really-the-national-food fish and chips and the real-national-food Indian curry, see the London bridge, or to just take a walk around town. Then maybe take a drive to Manchester or Liverpool or perhaps even Scotland. I really don't mind being trapped in a car looking out the window watching the world goes by, frame by frame. England, in my mind, will always be the origin of modern civilisation and I'm sure everyone wants to go back home sometimes.

Now Italy, that's a really beautiful country. I would love to go to Venice and Rome, just to walk in the small alleys around the town, sitting on the steps by the piazza, for once drinking Italian coffee, eating gellato after a long day walking, having all the pizza and pasta that I want and, again, wathicng the world goes by. And maybe sip a glass of wine or two while I'm there.

I've always been obsessed by Japan. Almost everything about them are enchanting. The history, the people, the language, their paradoxes and contradictions, the culture, everything. So going to Japan will just be a fullfilment of that obsession. Sushi, sakura and shinkansen. The food, the scenery and the travel. And maybe I can watch the world goes by while I'm there too.

How I envy friends of mine who have travelled far and plenty. How I would love to go with them if possible. Going in a big group is a big no. I really don't mind going alone or in a small group. Somewhere in between is very much preferred. The number two comes into mind. So does a particular person.

Oh sungguh senangnya lintasi bumi. Ooh indahnya dunia...
