If a banana is bitten and there is nobody around, does it make a sound?
Let's analyse the title, shall we? Firstly, how can a banana is bitten and there's nobody around? Who bit it? Well, it depends on the definition of 'bitten' and 'nobody' actually. Must 'nobody' refers to the absence of human beings? If a monkey bit the banana but there's no human beings around, is the monkey counted as 'somebody'? How about if a machine bit the banana, does that count as a 'somebody'? Can a machine 'bit' a banana in the first place? Or does 'bit' apply only to living beings? Moreover, when a banana is bitten, does it make a sound at all? Again, the question is what consitutes as a 'sound' here. Does the origin of the sound must be from the banana itself? Or the sound can come from the process of bitting the banana and thus, need not come from the banana? If the frequency of the sound, provided there is one, is outside the human range, does it count here? Other important questions can be about the external factors surrounding the process of bitting the banana. Is the banana peeled? How old is the banana, since this will contribute to the relative softness/hardness of the banana? Is this event happened in a vacuum chamber? Or perhaps in outer space? Are supernatural powers involved in this process?
Obviously, there are many questions surrounding this statement and it is a mystery to us all, but frankly one question is the most important of all. Does anyone even care?
