A Day in the life of me: 6th of June, 2006

07.10
"Five more minutes."

07.12
"Bloody alarm."

10.00
Went to the new office at Toa Payoh to supervise the alarm wiring. Pretty much did nothing except looking at the alarm guys laying out the cables.

12.15
Trying to figure out how to get to the nearest MRT station from the office. Ended up boarding 238 to Toa Payoh MRT.

13.10
Went to Yishun to set up computer and internet with the boss at one of the client's house. I was quite surprised that the installation process was pretty fast and ended up teaching the kids how to scan the computer with anti-virus and ati-spyware.

14.00+
Ate my lunch at Bishan North. I went here once with Mr. Lim, Jun Hui and Jin Teong one night. Gosh, it must have been years ago. How time passes by. I don't even know where's Jin Teong now and although I have Jun's MSN, I never really talk to him. I guess people drift apart.

15.00+
The boss and I drove to this company that specialises on lightning protection to buy some lightning protection thingy. Ended up waiting for one of the employee to come to the office to explain to us how the thingy works.

16.00+
Went to this British client's house just off Adam Road. The house is up on the hill and it's an old house. Sort of colonial house and it's beautiful with big lawn. Wooden furnitures and flooring, paintings on the wall, the carpets. When can I get this kind of house? Hopefully someday. Managed to get the internet working although not the router. Boss thought something wrong with the router so we must come back later that night.

18.30
Went to another client's house nearby. This time it was an Australian client just off Dunearn Road. Very nice people. We went there just to set up a webcam, so no biggie.

19.17
Back to Bishan North for my quick dinner eating bread. As long as the boss pays.

20.00+
Back to Adam Road to finish the router problem and this time we managed to do it. But we still need to go back a few days later to fix the lightning problem.

21.30
Another client's place at Ang Mo Kio. Setting up the wireless network for the desktip wasn't a problem. The problem was with the Mac. The husband was annoying too. I hate people who talks as if they know something about a subject when in fact they don't know anything about it.

00.00+
Back home. Boss gave me slightly later starting working time tomorrow. Phew.

15 hours of work is no joke but it was really fun. Especially going to this houses and meeting new people. It's true, foreigners have the best homes.
