We won...

On Friday I went to Toa Payoh sports centre to support the volleyball boys final...
It was the second time I was there...
my first time was to support RI swimming team 2 years ago...
it was a boring event...at least for me...
you see...I'm not passionate about school achievements like some people do...
I'm indifferent...I always thought cheering is a waste of time...wh can't people just sit and enjoy the game or match or anything...
why must spoil it by shouting something that even the players can't hear...
so that what was happened two years ago...I didn't cheer...I clapped 'adequately'...and I skipped half way...
pretty pathetic huh ? I bet some of you will say that I have no school spirit...
well, I don't mind...that's who I am...or rather was...
the situation was entirely different last Friday...
at first I thought it would be the same...me sitting there watching the match without cheering or anything...
and it was like that...for the first few minutes at least...
then it got into me...the atmosphere...the heat...the passion...or at least some of it, especially the sweat...
I can't believe I was cheering the entire match...my eyes never moved away from the court...damn...I was practically standing for the entire 3 sets...
even the fear of losing got into me...the anxiety and apprehension...
although being the pessimist me...I was predicting that AJ would lose...
but they didn't...they won...they got the gold...the supporters were darn happy...damn...I was happy...
never, I felt that way...and I was happy not because the hope of holiday or half day that could come...
I was happy because they won...period...I was happy for them although it has nothing to do with me directly...
amazing for a selfish jerk like me...
darn...school spirit...it got into me...
but it felt quite good...
ha..ha..
