Fashion hater...

I hate fashion...I hate trends...
don't get me wrong, it's not that I hate the stuff...but I just don't like the idea that half billion people wearing the same thing...
almost all my life, I've tried to do something different...
when blue jeans is fashionable, I don't have them...the last time I wore a blue jeans was when I'm in primary...
my mum and dad always try to put something 'fashionable' for me...most of the time I refused...
the same thing I always said, "just because everyone else is wearing it doesn't mean I have to."...
comfort, and not fashion, is the main issue for me...
and it's not only in clothes...
I was playing chess once and my friend suggested to me to make a move...
I was thinking about the same move but was considering other things...
just because my friend said it first before I moved it, I didn't make the move...
when all my classmates were playing neopets...I didn't...I think the game is mostly ridicolous...
you can say it's pride or just to be different...maybe...
but I've been doing this for quite some time...
I'm not saying it's good...I think sometimes it's bad...not doing something just because it's what everybody else is doing...
I even think it's kinda selfish...
but it also introduce me to a lot of new stuffs...like wei qi, japanese language, certain genre of anime (Lain or Evangelion), certain kind of books...and plenty of other things...
if I just followed other people, I'll be playing ragnarok or cs and hanging out in malls...it's only an example...
instead, I'm reading vernon god while drinking tea...
I'm not saying I've succeeded in being different...heck, there's plenty of people doing the same thing...loving the same stuff as me...
it doesn't mean being common is bad...
the point is, I made a choice...you go with the mainstream or you find alternatives...I chose the latter...most of the times...and I stick by it...
life is about choices, eh ?
