Freedom is a funny thing...

Freedom is a funny thing...
when we are restricted, tied down by the rules, and chained by norms, we wanted freedom so much that we'll die for it (although what's the point of being free if you're already dead...)
but, when we have freedom, right infront of our eyes, ready for the taking and all ours, we seldom take it or if we do, we do not know what to do with it...
In our hearts we must be wondering, I have my freedom now,
but what should I do with it ?
we are like a house cat suddenly released in a jungle...we are simply lost...before returning to the comfort of domestication...
all this thanks to a lifetime of routinity and authorites who tells us what to do, when to do it, where to do it, why to do it, and how to do it...
(it's not that I'm blaming them completely, we choose how to live our own lives rite. so we are to blame also)
we lost our sense of freedom...
it has become a piece of luxury that we do not know how to use or even more, do not need anymore...
it has become an excess in our lives...
take me for example, I'm in the office, I have a full internet connection that I'm free to use, but I do not know what to do with it...check mail, soccer news, magic news, friendster...that's it...then I'm stuck...staring at a blank screen (although most of the times it'll be google screen)...
it's like I'm free but I'm not...get it ?
I'm sure this doesn't happen to me alone...(feel free to say yes)
my teacher once said in our religion class a few years ago
that there is no such thing as absolute freedom because it is our very freedom that'll restrict us from being absolutely free.
our freedom causes us to be unfree...
sounds paradoxical...?
it is...
-I wish I knew how it feel to be free-
