Whatever...

A simple word, consisting only of, what, 3 syllables ? and yet it can be so...irritating.
I really hate it when people can easily dismiss someone else with a simple "whatever."
Imagine yourself talking about something that you are passionate about, or when you are trying to bring across a point and after all that effort, the other person says "whatever"
Ouch!
It simply shows ignorance. (And a certain lack of manner too)
I'm sure that there are plenty other ways to show to the other person that you are not interested, other more respectful ways.
And don't bother trying to argue that you can say whatever you want to anyone you like, 'cos I'll just say, "whatever."
