The Third Wave

I've been here only a few days and I've already been reminded how troubled this country is. The newspaper is filled with news about corruption, useless violence, troubled economy and trivial disputes. The headlines these days are filled with the news about corruption within the KPU. That's the organization that controls the election process. I remember the time when the government elected these guys. They said these guys have high integrity and moral standings. That these guys will do their job honestly. Well well well, what do you know. All of them are corrupted, as told by one of them. Corruption is really looks like one of the core problem in this country, if not THE problem. It's everywhere. From top to bottom and left to right. It's within every system and organization, unfortunately.
To tell you the truth, I don't think the problem will be solved anytime soon, or even ever be solved. Call me pessimistic and cynical but there's just not that many people who are willing to solve this problem and even if there are people who are willing, it will take lots and lots of time and resources to do it.
So here's what I think might solve it. It's a scary idea and what's even more scary is that I think it might be the one best solution that'll work, if not the only one.
It's like what I posted before. The return to NAZI's way of society. Let's make one thing clear here first. I'm not a NAZI supporter or any of that kind. I hate what they did and glad they failed in their actions, but some of their values do work.
First of all, a strong leader is of the utmost importance. A benevolent dictator, take that for contradiction. But that's what we need actually, at least for now. Secondly, a rigid system of reward and punishment. Jack up all punishments by several years and reinstate capital punishment. Screw the human right activists for now, they can't set this country right at this moment. Let them do the job later. Media control and propaganda are also essential to make this system work.
The key here is to make everyone watch everyone else. When one makes a mistake, other report that mistake. Punishment will then be delivered to the offending party and reward will be given to the one who reported it. By doing this, everyone will think that everyone else is looking and hence, I hope, will not do anything stupid or wrong.
It is a reign of terror and fear, but for a country this screwed, anything but it will ultimately failed. Unfortunately.
Living in this system for several years or even a decade will teach a thing or two to the people. Discipline is one.
So you see, Batman was right after all. Rule by fear, after that, maybe and just maybe we can rule by trust.
It is a scary thought isn't it and unfortunately, or is it fortunately, again, it will not happen. Why ? because all the countries and every human right organizations in this world will protest it. It's against democracy, they say. Well, hell yeah. It's against every principle of democracy. But you see, democracy can only work if the people are educated enough to know what democracy is. To know how it works and what it entails wholly. It is for people who will do their job properly. Sadly, I don't think this country can do democracy for now.

Gesundheit!
