The Restraint of Beasts
I'm loving Magnus Mills's books right now. Long long time ago, I read 'Three to See The King' and I really like his way of writing. Restraint is no different. Dark humour and twisting plotline all in the life of fencer builders. In short, the story is about two Scots fencers (not the sport) and the narrator being their supervisor, the work/drink/debt cycle and how they finish their job, in more than one meaning of the word. I'll never look at a stretch of high-tensile fencing the same way again.
