The review strikes back...

review...review...review...
it's review time...so many reviews to do...yet, I'm so lazy...
okay, here we go...(no spoilers included)

firstly, intolerable cruelty...that romantic comedy starring george clooney and catherine zeta-jones...
well, it's bland...nothing special really...it just go on and on and before you know it, it's finished...one good thing though...catherine zeta-jones...that's it...ha..ha.. :p

second review,down with love...watched it with mr.lim...
it is unexpectedly...good...really good...
it is witty, got a lot of twists, and good story indeed...
renee and jude law played very well...and although the story is somewhat similar to the one above...the result is very different...
maybe it's that 60's charm...

third review, it's this indon movie called tusuk jelangkung...
it is supposed to be a horror movie...supposed to be...
there's some good fright but as a whole, I feel like I'm watching a video clip rather than a movie...
the shooting, camera angle, lightings...all very 'vid-clip'...
well, at first I thought, what the hell, it has marcella in it (marcella zalianty, an indonesian actress)...but in the end, still quite dissapointed...well...

fourth review, it's an old movie...deep impact...watched it on tv for the second time...
all I can say is...it's a great movie...much better than the more-hyped armaggedon...
armaggedon is more geared towards action and all, while deep impact is more geared towards human emotion and interaction in the face of death...
so it's more drama than action...and to me, it far better than armaggedon...far...

fifth review...vernon god little...the book that won man booker prize last year...
at first, it's kinda boring...but after that it got more and more interesting and you can't stop reading...
and the story is so compelling and interesting, you can't help it to sympathise with vernon...
and it's also a damn funny book...no page is free of vulgarities...it's all there...ha..ha..
reminds me very much of catcher in the rye and holden caufield...
it's the modern version...

fiuh...that's it...
I'm hoping that I can watch indon movies like eiffel or arisan...but, I prefer vcd...'cos cinema is so crowded...
so many people...no fun...
