Standstill Operation

I watched Grey's Anatomy yesterday and they performed this operation called Standstill Operation. In this episode, a patient (Joe) was suffering from aneurism (that's an abnormal blood-filled swelling of an artery or vein, resulting from a localized weakness in the wall of the vessel) and the doctors suggested the standstill operation. They literally froze the patient, stopped his heart, fixed his aneurism and then after that brought him back to life. They killed and resurrected a person in the short duration of 45 minutes (that apparently is the time limit before the patient reached the bright end of the tunnel). I think that's so freaking cool.
