Empty lives...meaningless pursuits

like I've said before...been thinking a lot recently...
mostly about myself...and how I see things around me...
my point of views are mostly influenced by books that I've read...movies that I've watched...articles...things like that...
currently, I'm reading this book called 'Atomised'...it's written by this French author called Michel Houellebecq...ha..ha..
it's actually a French book but then translated to English...
It's quite a funny book...
it tells about this two half brothers...
one is an aging man, called Bruno...desperately seeking for sex...because he knows that his clock is ticking...
his relationship is a mere sexual encounter with no touch of love...at least untill the part that I've read...
the other is Michel...he...is an intellectual man...he is a mollecular biologist...with no social life...
It kinda shows how empty our modern lives are...
just filled with meaningless pursuit of things that we don't even know...
disturbing...
