A political rant by an a-political person...

There's sometihng wrong with this country...something really wrong...
I'm no political expert, but if me, a mere citizen, can say something is wrong then something must be wrong...
I say this because all this while, I've never see more good news about the government than the bad news...
and I keep my biggest criticism to the so called people's representatives...
it is something really funny that they can still call themselves the representatives of the people when the very people they claim to represent are condemning them...isn't it ironic ?
these people talk in the name of the people when they themselves do not know what the people wants...
that's the big problem...when the wants of the people down there are modified or changed by the people up there...
and these people's representatives are living well and paid well while the people they represent are suffering...
corruption and abuse of power are just two of the crimes that some of these people's representatives have done...
and who are the victims ? obviously the people...
and these problems can be seen more clearly at present time...because general election is a few months away...
one common problem that has emerge is that the nomination for the going-to-be people representatives (calle caleg here) that are supposed to be decided by the people of that area is changed by the people up there...
so a lot of demostration and protest have been issued by the people towards the many political parties that the nomination lists have not reflected the people's inspiration...
so what's the use of these people in the government if the voice of the people are not channeled and be known ?
I know, my views are a bit optimistic and I know that politic is dirty...
but is this the only way ?

it reminds me of legally blonde 2...
when the so called villain said to justify her dirt politic that there's gotta be someone in the parliament to represent the people...elle said that but you are not representing the people...

so, it's not only being there and getting the position...there's responsibility that comes with it...
you know, like uncle ben said to peter parker...with great power comes great responsibility...
obviously, most people in the parliament never watch spiderman...or legally blonde 2...
sheesh...
