Kings of Convenience ran riot on an empty street
KoC rocks!!!
Singing a couple of songs from their old albums('Until You Understand', 'Love Is No Big Truth', 'Cayman Island', 'Misread', 'Homesick', 'Little Kids', 'Winning A Battle, Losing A War', 'Know How', 'Singing Softly To Me', 'Stay Out of Trouble', 'I'd Rather Dance With You'), one new song and two Norwegian songs, they drove the crowd wild. I know, I know, how can a band dubbed the new Simon and Garfunkel do that? Believe me, they can. There were plenty of highlights of the show ranging from plenty of funny banter between the two and also the audience, Erlend's funny dance, the two singing a Norwegian birthday song for a lucky audience, a couple of lucky people who got to dance on the stage during 'I'd Rather Dance With You' (I think I saw Ci'en there). But for me the biggest highlight was when they played 'Homesick' with all the lights off. It was so hauntingly beautiful.
Eirik was the quiet cool one while Erlend was the goofy geeky one. I swear Napoleon Dynamite was modeled after him.
Unfortunately, one and a half hours passed by unnoticeably. How could you notice time when you're having fun?
