La Vie Boheme

I don't know why but a line from Rent's 'La Vie Boheme' has been stuck in my head for a couple of days. The line goes like this, 'Sodomy is between God and me'. Pretty weird line to be stuck in someone's head, isn't it?

It's just that the line as if implies that the most important thing that matters about sodomy is between God and 'me' (which, in my opinion, refers to the moral implication of the act itself). But for me, it should be 'Sodomy is between him and me'. Many still see it as an act of sin (and it is a valid opinion) and I think that's why the line is what it is. While homosexuality is still denounced in many parts of the world (and its members often abused), we can't deny the fact that they exist and they will be in the future (barring some major event that wipes off the entire homosexual population). So why don't we just accept them?
